Inoculant for Grey Cast Iron or Nodular Cast Iron.
In Grey Cast Iron, Ferrosilicon Calcium Barium Lanthanum (FeSiCaBaLa)
has a deoxidizing and nodularizing action. Nucleation of the melt is favorable
due to lanthanum inclusions combined with calcium or aluminum. In Cast Iron
Nodular, the addition of FeSiCaBaLa favors the increase of nodules due to the
localized nucleation. When using the FeSiCaBaLa inoculant, the content of
sulfur in the metal base must be controlled to avoid the formation of
carbides.
